Convention Season Update
Friends, summer is upon us, and so is the start of our annual convention tour. We’ve got some exciting news to share about new events, as well as some info about online shop operations over the next few months, which is where we’ll begin.
Starting June 15th, all limited-quantity inventory will be taken down from the site and added to our show stock. That means pretty much everything besides the apparel will not be available online until early October. If you’ve had your eye on anything in the shop, this is your chance to grab it before it’s gone! We also will not be doing any more drops, restocks or preorders until the fall (some exciting plans are in the works for when they do return, though).
With that out of the way, let’s move on to what will be occupying our time over the summer. Here is the full list of shows we’ll be attending this year:
July 23 - 26: Tekko, Pittsburgh PA*
July 30 - August 2: Gen Con, Indianapolis IN
August 20 - 23: Anime NYC, New York City
October 2 - 4: Pittsburgh Gaming Expo, Monroeville PA
Fall (dates TBA): Queen & Rook Fantasy Ren Faire, Philadelphia PA**
First of all, we have to say how absolutely stoked we are for our first time at ANIME NYC! This is a massive convention, and we’re equally excited for the show as we are for an excuse to romp around the city. NYC friends, please come through and say hi!
Tekko is a recent addition and has not been officially locked in yet; it seems like we’re in the process of being pulled off the waitlist, but communication has been slow moving. Fingers crossed it goes through, as it’s held right in our backyard and has been an aspiration to vend for years! Queen & Rook’s event has also not yet been finalized, but we’re expecting to learn more about that soon and will keep you posted as updates come. We had an awesome time at the Spring Ren Faire earlier this year, and can’t wait to return with all the new goodies we’ve cooked up since then!
Notably, Origins is not on the list this year. We had a scheduling conflict come up, and are bummed that we won’t be able to make it. Origins has been a mainstay for us the past few years, and we always have a great time. We’re hoping to be able to jump back in next year and continue the tradition.
That’s all for now! If you have any suggestions for conventions we should look into vending in the future, please feel free to reach out and let us know. And if we happen to cross paths at any of these shows, we can’t wait to meet you and say hi!
Until next time,
Sam
